NewCuts
The boys got haircuts today and look pretty stylin ;) The barber even had colored hair gel, which is a hit everytime !! Our backyard has been an official jungle for a while now - we are blessed to have a wonderful neighbor who volunteered her husband to cut it for us yesterday. Yay!! I will post "after" pics soon.....We have been eating alot of stirfry type meals lately, and the boys like the leftovers packed into their lunches ~ nice to have fresh produce on hot days. And of course, with more consistant nice weather, we have been walking/bike riding most everywhere......Cole loves having the chance to show off, and act out his "skills" on his HotWheels bike :)

Slumber PartyFun
We decided to build a "fort" in the livingroom and camp out. Mommy made popcorn and lemonade and we even rented movies!!!! ( definitely an exciting treat!). Cole was super proud for coming up with the idea, and beamed when his big brother thought it was a cool concept ~ acceptance and praise from an older sibling is a treat in itself ;) To add to our adventure, Sabre came over for a playdate with Cassy ~ so we all had fun and look forward to another fun party night!!

This week I decided we needed a little bit of spontaneous happyness. So I packed up the car, and off we headed to Harrison...Chace was stunned I was letting them skip school, and Cole was super excited to be going on a mini road trip. I told the boys about their Grandpa and how when I was younger, he would let me skip school every so often, and we would spend the day together. Those days made me feel so special, and still are some of my best memories. Chace asked if I was making tradition (smart kid!), and I said "yes family traditions are important, and help make memories for when we get older". My guys felt pretty special, spending the day at the beach, and being able to tell their friends at school the next day. I feel very lucky I am able to have the time to do such fun things with my sons. Blessed to have such awesome childhood memories I can share with my boys, and hopefully make their childhood just as happy.

Hi Daddy. The simple fact I have to type this, and not be able to phone you breaks my heart all over again, into a million pieces. I miss you. I spend nights praying and begging and walking aimlessly through our little house. I am so completely lost without you, and rocked to my core that my superhero is not, in fact, invisible.
Daddy I don't know how this works ~ but more than anything I pray you can hear me when I talk to you, and know that I am proud you are my Father. I know in the depths of my soul I am lucky, to have had a beautiful spirit raise me, befriend me, and unconditionally love me, and I was blessed with the privilege of calling you Dad. My Dad . You make me proud, being able to be known as your kid. Being able to name my youngest miracle after you.
2 months ago today you were finally able to rest, and for that I am grateful, even as my heart breaks daily, for the hole my life now has. Forever I will miss you, Love you, and wish I could have just 5 more seconds, to hold your hand, have your grey/blue eyes twinkle. I will forever look up to you, on that pedestal, that noone will ever be tall enough to reach.......
Daddy I love you,
Love your #1 fan
XOXO

Making dinner the other night, I noticed the boys in the curtains and this is what I overheard; "Hi Grampa, we're still missing you, Mommy does especially. Is there fishing in heaven? Hug Papa for us please, and tell God that we're not mad at him, just sad for Mama. We love you Big Guy". Precious.
a 3Stooges experiment: steak, peppers and tomato skewers with pasta salad.
