As a surprise for my Daddy I wrote a memoriam, remembering my Grandfather. the paper ad comes out in today's ABby times, I can't wait for him to see it:)

I Remember........

3 years ago today we were told you wouldn't be leaving the hospital. We'd been told that before, and you  defied the odds. Afterall, you ARE a Temple;)  This time our hearts, and belief, were broken. You left us, to go on to bigger and better things, and we were lef t in a numbing fog of shock, heartache, and  loss. Gramps you were our world. You inspired, tough-loved, laughed, and most of all, believed. In those you loved.
Dad and I miss you. The mere mention of your name brings a flood of tears. Still. 3 years later.  we knew you were on borrowed time, and we regret taking for granted all those "tomorrows" God blessed us with.

I want you to know that I Remember. Every conversation, every secret wink, every moment, every inside joke. Everything. You continue to affect and inspire my world and I'm thankful Gramps. I love you and miss you oh so much.

Christmas Craziness

there has been a lot going on this month, amazed  that it is almost already over!! So far we have gone driving around looking at Christmas lights, volunteered at preschool and kindergarten (with crafts, baking and reading program), and done a whole lot of decorating and baking at home. Busy Busy Busy.............Happy Happy Happy!!!

Fall Fun

We lucked out in having some pretty nice days, sunny and chilly, butnice enough toget out and enjoy the day before the long dark days of being cooped up inside! Our  neighbors all got together and had a raking party. there was hot cocoa, cookies, coffee, and some other baked treats, as we all got together to clean up the leaves that the beautiful trees in our complex left behind.  The kids w ere oh so helpful, in supervising the size of the leaf piles, and testing their stability by way of jumping and laughing hysterically.  Amazing how simple fun can be the best fun!

THe boys and I headed out another day to Mill Lake, for  some 3stooges time. We haven't ha d much of that  lately, with me daycaring extra children afterschool, so the 3 of us enjoyed our time alone.  The boys  helped me to hang our Christmas lights and decorate our tree...the only thing missing now is  SNOW!!!!!!!!! we're weird like that - we love the stuff!!
