Year ..........
It has been one year since I last saw you, my precious baby girl. I wish I had asked the nurse for a copy of the ultrasound, to put in your babybook that I had bought for you.
I miss you every day. I love you. So purely.
I'm sorry we couldn't be together yet, but I carry you in my heart each and every step of the way.
Love, Mommy
XOXO

Chace asked me if I could make shrimp-stuffed chicken. So I took on the challenge and was pleasantly surprised how yummy they turned out. No recipe, just improv! The filling was made with shrimp(of course), leeks, brocolli, spinach, carrots, red pepper, red onion, garlic and parmesan cheese.
I put a few spoonfuls into the chicken, then rolled them up. Then left them in the fridge to soak in the yummy spices. Baked them @ 350degrees for half an hour.

Renos
So we have started to renovate our little home. The boys are getting new flooring first and this has proved to not only be fun but TIME CONSUMING!
I ripped out Chace's carpet first, and it was yucky!! Day 1 involved a trip to the dump - this is like Christmas for little boys LOL.
Chace got to pick out some new wallpaper border as well so he was very proud to have a more grown up bigboy room.
So the new flooring is hopefully going to get started this week....looking forward to having it new and clean, and starting on Cole's room!

Date Day
Once a month each boy gets all day with Mommy, one-on-one time. THe day's events are chosen by them and off we go.
Today was Cole's date. Chace went off to preschool and we enjoyed the whole day together, just us 2.
The night before Cole was beside himself with anticipation ...
"I am so excited Mama! I can't believe I'll be all alone with you!! You're the only one who listens to me all the time."
Cole chose to go to Red Robin for lunch, and bowling. He insisted on paying for lunch *so cute*, so Mommy snuck some money into his wallet** and he proudly paid our server, even telling him how much change he needed back: "I only need $5 cause you need a tick" LMAO. Kudos to our server who had an awesome sense of humor!!
We headed off to the bowling alley and my darling little MiniMan thoroughly enjoyed himself ... he even bowled for me too! After our game was done, we printed off the (pitiful) scores and headed out to the library. There, I watched my miracle baby boy's eyes light up at the whole section full of sharks and other ocean creatures. Today he finally got his very own library card and was so proud to add to his collection in his wallet**
AWESOME DAY!!! I feel so blessed to be able to have this time to have God remind me just how great and unique each of my sons are. The conversations Cole and I had today I will treasure and hold near to my heart forever.
** Both Chace and Cole got cool wallets for Christmas, from Grandma & Grandpa. Each was filled with gift certificates for activities throughout town. Ie: bowling, rec centre memberships, Castle Fun Park, McD's , and even some "paper money".
